I agree, although I think the POD technology in itself could be used to reach people all over the world. At the moment, it has a bad reputation, while the technology itself is not too bad, the use of it is, still. E-books will be booming in several years. At this moment, the E-ink technology is developing rapidly. I have seen a few proto-types. They look like a photocopy, covered with plastic. One press on a button and the page will change into the next one.
This way we will be able to have light, flexible electronic books.

Inspite of all technology, a book still needs to be written by a skilled human being. It will take quite a while before I will be skilled, if ever!
But on the other hand, if we were thinking we were perfect authors, there would be little room for improvement!

One good thing about hanging out with writers is, they will compliment when they see improvement.

The thing I appreciate about my current POD gig with Dandelion is that their distributor prints and ships in several countries. Right now they print and ship in the Netherlands, UK, US, and another country, the name of which escapes me now. Soon they will be in Canada and Australia. UK citizens who have ordered my book really appreciated that because they saved a LOT of money getting their book from within their own country. So far it has been ordered from the Netherlands, UK, and Germany.
