Hey, Everyone!

Well, I know I'm late registering for this wonderful forum, but, better late than never, right?

I am glad to see that I am in such good company. My writing partner and sister is here, and she said she would tell you all my deepest, darkest secrets if I didn't join you soon. Only kidding, Toyce. I know you wouldn't tell ALL of my secrets... only the juicy ones, right? ;)

Hey, Diana (my other writing sister). Hey, Lynn (my other sister who doesn't have time to write because she's busy with some acquisitions dept. or something)...

Hey, Bill. I've missed you, my friend...

Well, everyone have a great day! I'm glad to be here.

Lee Ann! Great to see you. Yes, yes, life is busy, but my eyes need a break every now and then. Welcome to the boards. The water is nice and the natives are extremely friendly.

Hey, Lee Ann,
Glad to see you! I was afraid you may get tainted "over there".
You don't have to miss me any more, ya'll.

Thanks to all for the warm greetings!

Lynn, I bet you do get crossed-eyed, reading all those manuscripts; but, hey, what a great job to have!

Bill, I am so glad I don't have to miss you anymore. Me? Tainted? Never! ;)

Hi Lee Ann. Welcome aboard. Have you been to any "book-signing/cockfighting" events lately. I'd explain, but Lee Ann can do it so much better.

Todd, you want me to keep Joyce out of trouble? How could we have any fun then?

Kevin... I could never forget my white knight! No, don't cry, although I'll bet you still defend just as admirably with rusty armor.

Mary, I have been trying to plan a book signing/cockfighting event, but I haven't had any luck. You'll never let me live that down, will you? :-) Mary, I think you're great, you know that?

Welcome Lee Ann:

Glad to have you aboard. I'm the "traitor" from Tennesse who married a "Yankee Man." Your sister will explain . It's really wonderful to see new names from the "other board" posting here daily. Feel free to approach the subject of your choice. We'll listen. Sit back and relax. Grab a cup and a napkin...the cookies are in the oven and the coffee is brewing.

Teena, if you mean "you married a Yankee Man" because you are using a "Mickey" reference from True Blue Forever, all I can say is, you lucky girl! :-) Thanks for the warm greeting!

Diana~

Hello my sister! I am so happy to be here. I have missed you guys on THAT OTHER BOARD (not going there) ;)

What are you doing? Lynn's not working you too hard, is she? I saw on Montel that they placed Empress of Clouds on the ticker, but I was hoping Montel would at least say the name of your book (I am so proud of you, by the way). You and Liz did a wonderful job and brought much integrity to his show.

I have missed you! I wish we were all getting together this weekend. When we all hit the NY Times Bestsellers list, we'll get together on a regular basis, right?

LOL,

Lee Ann :-)}

Hey, Sis! What the heck are you doing here? Don't you have three novels and four or five screenplays to work on? Most especially, our BDP? Check your email and don't make me have to tell these folks about your . . . <insert dramatic music here> cabinet doors!

Mary, I couldn't believe it when Lee Ann told me y'all culturally challenged Yankees never heard of cockfightin'! And she forgot to tell you about our even bigger attraction--hog dog rodeos! Not to mention our touching Valentine's Day news story about the father and daughter who got married, got thrown in jail and warned to stay away from each other by a judge, and then were found together at the Bamboo Motel a week after they got out of the hoosegow. Our illustrious local media interviewed the daddy from prison and he said "I'll fight tooth-and-nail for us to be together, and I ain't even got no teeth!" And he didn't. Aw . . . don't it just warm the cockles of yore heart?

And Sis, Teena's Yankee hubby may indeed be of Mickey-quality (OOH!) but she meant the Northern kind of Yankee, not the baseball kind.

Todd, Todd, Todd . . . it would take somebody a lot bigger than a munchkin like Lee Ann to keep me out of trouble. I vote for Kevin! Yeah, right. He'd really get me into trouble!

Bill, don't listen to any of those meanies. You're the sweetest dirty old man I've ever known!

Hey, Sis. Yes, I have plenty to keep me busy. Just took a short break. My e-mail has been checked and replied to. :-)

Yes, as Toyce so eloquently put it, the South is indeed a rich blend of cultural, um, "diversity". I had deliberately forgotten about our Valentine's Day exclusive, Toyce. Thanks for reminding me. And, you know what the funny thing is, most of you probably think Toyce is exaggerating. She's not! Every word of what she spouted is true... that's what makes it so damn funny. Aahh, the South. Gotta love it.

Bill, I must agree with Toyce. You're the sweetest dirty old man I've ever known, too!

It's so hard to stay humble when the truth starts leaking out.
What's this 'old man' stuff? Who you been talking to? Hey, anybody can have a bad day. It happens to lots of guys. Who you been talking to? She lied.

"I have wondered where in the world you got off to."

I wasn't hiding, just felt like I had nothing to say, nothing constructive anyway. It's been about that long for editing and working on the new books as well, but I'm slowly coming out of hibernation like an old cranky grizzly.

Lee Ann,

"I wish Montel had mentioned the book..."

You and me both there, dear. He forgot to, that's why they added the banner.

"Lynn's not working you too hard, is she?"

I work myself harder than anyone else does. I am fully aware of the responsibility of my new position and that keeps me busy.

What's that, Lynn? Oh, right, sorry. Back to work!

You are right Toyce, I would probably get you in trouble, but I think Lee Ann, although a munchkin, could keep you out of trouble. She protected me at the airport.

Bill, I can share, if you can. I want Mondays, Thursdays, and the weekends. You can have the other days. This sound all right Lee Ann?

Trast me, I am. Right now I am editing The Ark and The Convenant. Christian sci-fi. Tag will be something like this "With death surrounding the Earth humanities last hope is a new Ark and an ancient promise." Basically a black hole comes to close and the Earth is pulled out of orbit, the Ark is a space cruiseliner and the only chance for the faithful around the world.

My mommy is reading through Full Scale Retreat which is: "Five demons realize their mistake and want to go back to heaven, it is up to a group on retreat to show them the way." An interesting read into absolute love an forgiveness set in modern day.

After that I am writing the fictioanlized version of how my wife and I met (divine invervention helped) and the starts of three others. I think my problem is I have too much trying to get out at the same time, like a door with three people trying to pass at the same time.

Kevin,

Sounds like you work the same way I do... on too many things at one time! All of your projects sound great and I can't wait to read them. I so enjoyed Exile and Adam's Stone. Just always let me know when your books become available and I'll be in line for my copy. :-)

I recently completed two novels (one is being considered by a publisher and the other is being looked at by a few agents) and I am finishing up another. I am also working on a screenplay with Toyce and on another for Linda Pannett. I am also trying to sell a third screenplay that is completed. I have so many projects, I am crazy most of the time.

I am glad you are working so hard and doing so well.

Take it easy, buddy~

Lee Ann
