I just received this email from one of our cover designers and thought it a prudent thing to pass along. I normally don't do this, but since it happened directly to him, I knew it wasn't a fake.

Watch your phone bill for a scam charge from something called Integretel...
they have a client called "FAQ900.com" that downloads a dialer thru the internet, then connects to a 900 number that dials a $40.00 charge to your phone bill without you even knowing about it! I got caught today for a charge made on July 3rd!

My son experienced that, I ended up with a seven hundred dollar bill. The online number which was listed as a local number, was switched to an overseas exchange. Thankfully the phone company cleared my account of the charge.

I noticed a popup a few days ago that was some sort of 900 dialer.. it came up so fast asking if I wanted to install it. To a casual eye, it could have been a program needed for a particular website, but it was the 900 thingy that caught my eye. I clicked 'no' and quickly closed the window.

We got the same kind of unknown fraudulent charge for NOTHING in our latest SBC telephone bill received today, August 19 -- for $40 for 2 minutes. We will be contacting SBC tomorrow with refusal to pay this charge, and will ask for 900 blocking, available in Missouri.

I "Google" traced these guys to a website | http://psychicpredictionsbush.psychic-powers.biz | and tracerouted:

I use all the Adware for my registry and computer and NAV and Mcafee for Virus and smtp mailers, this is definetely not the usual voice call method of 800/900 reroute scam. And since I use dial-up. it can only be a cookie/silent smtp dialer if possible.

Unfortunately this SMTP Dialer if exist, is not known to N.A.V. or Mcafee virscanners or BPS/Lavasoft spyware removers yet, so it is deemed non existant, and can only be claimed charge from some idiot.

ThanX in Advance
