I'll be on the popular internet radio program, Dr. Robyn Show tonight around 8:30pm est (aug. 31, 2004). I'll plug my books, but I'm sure their mostly going to ask me personal stuff (it's a relationship-type show). Anyway, listen if you like: www.drrobynphd.com Thanks! Diana |

Thanks for listening, Joy. Yeah, I had a hard time hearing them on the phone. Still, it was fun. Diana |

I did get to hear most of the snow story scene. Still getting visuals! If you ever decide to write a book about your experience, it would be wonderful if it started something like this: While Liz and I were wandering up and down the neighbor's driveway, backs hunched over, in search of my "blank-blanks", DURING A BLIZZARD, I could not help but think about all of the parts of my life that had led me to the depths I had just stooped. Our eyes met and we burst out laughing, but as we continued the search for the "blanketies", no thanks to my wayward cat, my mind drifted back to the time I realized I was not who I wanted to be..... (and then you go back in time and thus your story begins) Oh, you fill in the blanks on your own. This is, after all, a public place. You're the best, Diana! Joy Joy Lee Rutter

Joy, Lynn would like me to write a book about Liz and my relationship and everything that happened, but I'm not ready to do it yet. Your idea is a fun way to start though, I'll keep it in mind. At the time, however, I was crying not laughing, believe it or not, 'cause they were the only set of "blaneties" I had. I'll be interviewed tonight around 10pm est by Dr. Laurie Betito on Montreal's CJAD 800 AM, which can be heard online at: www.cjad.com I'm sure it will be the same type of interview as last time, though she wanted a copy of my books (unfortunately, EMPRESS is just now going to print so I had to send her a MOONSWORD). Oh thanks for letting us know! I will tune in and hopefully it won't get screwy this time. (I love Montreal, and hope to vacation there again some time) When you are ready, you'll write that book and it will go far. Guaranteed. Joy Lee Rutter

Joy, Thank you. Montreal is one of my very favorite places in the world, even though much of the time I was there it was a very unpleasant experience (no fault of that great city's). I consider it almost my second birthplace... I'm excited to be on the radio there. Diana |

I clicked on the CJAD link and there was a discussion about cross dressing and transgender. Love those Canadians. It's 7 PM California time so I must be an hour or two early. Bueno suerte with the interview. Lo siento, pero no entiendo Francais. http://www.fdungan.com |

I got the whole thing this time and you sounded great, Diana. Still think you should begin the book. Ever consider inviting other people who have an alternative lifestyle to write their experience, then put together a book? That way, all you'd have to do is include yours as one chapter. Everyone else puts in their own, and wah-lah. A book! I would even contribute one, because it's my dad's story and he has asked me to write it. Get this: My parents were married almost 50 years, but when they hit their 46th year, my mom came home after spending a few days in Naples and discovered my dad, and all of this stuff gone. He had moved in with Dorothy, a darling red-head a few years OLDER than him. (Red heads do not usually turn gray). Needless to say, mom was devastated. It took her some time to get through the shock, anger, hurt, and then eventually realize that she enjoyed the freedom of no longer picking up after a man, deal with the many arguments they suffered, etc, etc. And, it didn't hurt matters that Dorothy paid off my mom's car, would not allow my dad to divorce her (she would lose medical benefits) and he was not to take any of his pension; it was to remain with my mom. All mom's financial needs that came up, Dorothy made sure they were met. Mom came to realize that Dorothy was a very sweet woman and even told her during the angry weeks, "Dorothy, if I wasn't so hurt and angry with you for taking Raymond, I would consider you one of my best friends." It did not take long for that to transpire, because they did indeed become very good friends and on my parents' 50th anniversary, all 3 of them went out to a nice restaurant and it was enjoyed by all, with no awkwardness. Mom died August 2, 2002 with my dad and Dorothy at her side. Dorothy now has early stage senility and my dad is still with her, and still very much in love. Oh, and they have not married; it would affect the finances. See? It would fit. An unconventional relationship, alternative lifestyle, you name it. We're out there and ready to add a chapter. Wait Wait, I got more. No, don't stop reading....wait. Dang. I'll save it for the next chapter, because you really have to read about Roger and I...long lost loves reunited...Okay, I'll stop. G'night all, and stuff. Oh, Ozzie & Harriet? Come on now. Is it just me, or were they the most boring people on the planet? Joy Lee Rutter

Fred, Yeah, they got me on late again (I think around 10:22pm), but they did give me three segments. And, yeah, she was gearing up to talk about me...as I'm transsexual. Thanks for trying to listen! Joy, Thanks again for listening. I'm trying to complete my trilogy first so my fans won't have to wait for ever (yeah, I do actually have a few fairly die-hard fans). And I think I have enough material for a whole book on us, when I do write it, but thanks for the thought, though. Diana |

You're welcome, but my idea was a tongue-in-cheek joke. The story is true, but I, like most authors, do not have an interest in adding a chapter to someone else's work. Too much legal bs. It was late and I got slap-happy-silly. I'm so bad that time of day/night. Now if you will excuse me while I finish my book.....and away she goes! I'm anxious to complete this so that I can get into some serious local marketing as soon as my book's release is official. Dang, I'm excited! Joy Lee Rutter
