Hello all, I've been extremely busy these last several months and have not checked in here for quite awhile. I wanted to let everyone know that I'll be attending Philcon, the sci-fi convention in Philadelphia, December 10/11/12 (Friday/Saturday/Sunday). I didn't get an official invitation this time so I won't be part of the program but I'll be attending as a fan or groupie or whatever, and also I'll be selling my book in the dealer's room. These conventions are kind of fun, with a lot of pretty weird people dressing in outlandish costumes, drinking adult beverages and having a lot of fun. Some of them even buy my book. I love it! If anyone from this forum is planning on attending, please let me know and/or drop by to see me when I'm there. I'd love to see you. The Philcon link is http://www.philcon.org/2004/ The link to my first SF novel is www.soldierofthelegion.com By the way, my publishers are now editing my second novel. Marshall S Thomas |

I'm thrilled to hear about your second book, Marshall! Remember me when you need a review! I've been thinking about you - and the Write Stuff Writers. Graven Images was just re-released and all your names are still in the dedication. Glad you stopped by. One of these days, we'll end up at a convention together. Don't think I can make Philadelphia though. Nancy MINDSIGHT MODERATOR www.nancymehlbooks.com www.myshelf.com |

Hi Joy Lee, Bill and Joyce, thanks for your comments; it's nice to know you. I'm back from Philcon. Nancy & Laurel, I've added your links to my website www.soldierofthelegion.com under "Links." I should have done that a long time ago; you've both helped me out a great deal. I just opened the new "Links" section. I also put C.W. and this website there. Philcon was fun, especially since the hotel was so nice. Sometimes these con hotels are fleabags but this one (Marriott Downtown) was very clean and modern and right in the center of town. Of course I spent all my time in the dealers room so being in the center of town was not important. It was a good con and a lot of my old writer friends were there plus I made some new contacts as well. My comment are in my website under "News/Events." Best wishes to all -- I hope to see some of you at future SF conventions. My next one will be Marscon in Williamsburg, VA in January. Regards, Marshall |
