A nice surprise greeted me on my computer today. Round Table Reviews sent me their review of my latest book. Here it is:

If the book accurately represents today’s Spain, then it is certain that the days of Generalissimo Franco are past. I remember the Spanish people as being repressed and the book portrays them as outgoing and friendly; a welcome change indeed. Much of the story encompasses the Feria or religious festival in Seville.

When Efi’s father is gored by a bull on his ranch in Seville, Efi takes over the management of the ranch raising bulls for the bull ring. On one of her visits to Madrid, she meets and instantly finds Peter to be a caring young man. Love quickly follows the meeting. Peter is pursuing a career in medicine but secretly wants to be a bull fighter. Through Efi, he learns a side of bull fighting that is anything but romantic.

I found the story intensely interesting and I could easily visualize the people and the cities of Seville and Madrid. Since RUNNING OF THE BULLS is the first story in a trilogy, the story of Efi and Peter is certain to be continued in the next book. I’ll be looking for it.
