New Romance Publisher Pops Its Cork

December 17, 2004 – In an effort to provide romance fans with a wider variety of titles, Champagne Books opens its cyber doors with the signing of its first author, Lori Derby-Bingley, winner of the Road to Romance’s 2004 Reviewer’s Choice award. Champagne Books is a high-quality electronic and small press dedicated to bringing excellence in romantic fiction to the romance community. A royalty-paying publisher with the belief that e-books are definitely the way of the future, the editors at Champagne Books still believe there is nothing like holding a paperback in your hands. With this in mind, they are also committed to bringing mass market paperbacks directly to their readers' doors via a monthly book club. Champagne Books promises its readers the best authors and highest quality fiction at the lowest possible price and will feature books in the following lines:

Bubbles-- Novellas

Chic--Contemporary Romances
Chillers-- Romantic Suspense
Dreams-- Romantic Fantasies

Publisher J. Ellen Smith shares with her staff a vision for providing a meeting place for romance authors--both new and established--and their readers, who are possibly the most loyal fans in the literary community. Champagne's staff believes the high volume of books required for the romance genre should not negate the traditional standards to which all books must be held, but they also understand the obstacles new authors face and are committed to working with them in developing their work into high-quality fiction that will garner respect and prestige for themselves and their publisher.

Readers and prospective authors may read more about Champagne Books on the website and fall in love, one romance at a time. Submission Guidelines available online.

We are witnessing before us the birth of a publisher bound for glory behind the very talent of their staff. Cherish the moment and stand in awe as they take flight.

Fred. Are you sure that was milk that you poured on your Wheaties this morning? Your last post kinda sounds like it might have been some egg nog left over from the office party.

Congratulations, Jen. I wish you the best of luck with this great endeavor.
Looks like you've got enough talent there that you won't need a lot of luck, though.

Good luck with everything. Your website looks great.

The last thing in the world I would ever want to be called is a grammar snob (especially since I can't spell!), but I think you should make sure the release is as clean as possible. There is a glaring error in the title of the release that will likely invite scorn.

Bill, Bill, Bill...hast thou forgotten the manuscript I have in my possession? You wouldn't want me to tell our friends here about your protagonist's affiliation with Untied Technologies Corporation, would you?

Todd, please delete the apostrophe in the PR's headline. Jenn has an odd affection for the little buggers and couldn't resist adding one.
