I forgot my password! Anyway... All of us have special stories about growing up. If you still need to pick up some last minute Christmas presents for family members, write a couple short stories that are light hearted about your childhood with them, print them out and put them in a nice report folder. Make a label for the front with a title, your name, to whom the present is for and the date. I started writing a series of short stories over a year ago about growing up in a Maryland suburb. I went through our family photo album and found pictures to match the stories. When I couldn't find a photo to match, I did a Goggle Image search and found pictures. It was great fun. I'm making a stick on cover with photos and giving the stories to my sisters and my brother. Just a little idea. Rita Gerlach http://users.starpower.net/rpkg/index.htm |

I did that the Christmas before my first book came out. My family enjoyed it so much, I started working on The Grass Dance, which was their gift the folowing Christmas. For next Christmas I'm working on a book of my Grandma's stories especially for my family. Good idea, Rita!!
