A Marine serving in Iraq that I "adopted" as a pen pal is back home safe and sound and with his family for Christmas. He pulled nineteen months there!
He read the books that I sent him and passed them around to his company.
I'm a famous author in Iraq!
I'm so happy he made it. I didn't hear from him for a while, and got nervous, but all is well.
He's going to try to come to Texas in the coming year and it will be my pleasure to honor him when he does.
