Does anyone know anything about this company. I got an offer in the mail and they claim they'll enhance your website exposure by doing all kinds of things, i.e. submit your domain name to 20 major search engines. I looked them up on the web. People have told me to do this sort of service you have to pay big bucks, but this company is going to do it for a whole year for $$35. Mary www.merickson.org www.behlerpublications.com |

Mary, I don't know anything about that company that contacted you, however, if you have an extra 35 bucks laying around with nothing to do, what can it hurt.. if they don't live up to what they said, and you would be able to tell within a few weeks (because of the increase in hits to your site), you really wouldn't be out that much and if they do work, then you have gained a lot of ground. So, personally, I say pony up and try it. At least that is the way I look at those sorts of things. If I have the money and it is a small amount, what have you got to lose? However, I would only do it that way once, just to see. If you get burned, it doesn't hurt as bad as a bigger amount would and it might really be a good thing that you wouldn't have known about, had you not tried it. Claudia MINDSIGHT MODERATOR

Google says that they put your site in FREE. I would think that if they did, you would get all the exposure possible because everybody uses google right? And don't all search engines search google? http://www.pacwriter.netfirms.com/ |

How can it hurt? Ever heard of Identity theft? This scam has been going around for a couple years under many domains. My advice would be not to deal with that company or any other company that does not provide vaild contact information. You can do a search on the internet for "ILSCORP.net" and find plenty of others that have gotten this paperwork and see they felt the same way as I do. Also search under ICLS.net and you will see the same thing. Hope you didn't send your checking account information! |
