Hello Mindsighters!

Good news!!! The full-cast unabridged audio version of my SF novel Soldier of the Legion is to be broadcast on XM Radio! Beginning on the 4th of July, You can hear it twice a day on Channel 163, Sonic Theater, from 8 to 8:30 AM (Eastern) or 5 to 5:30 AM (Central)... ALSO at 4 to 4:30 PM (Eastern) or 1 to 1:30 PM (Central). Come on you Central folks! Get up at 5 AM for the thrill of a lifetime! These broadacsts are being done, twice daily, from Monday through Friday, and presumably will continue until all nine hours of the recording runs its course.

I'm not sure if the afternoon broadcasts are a copy of the morning broadcasts but we'll see! XM Radio is terrific, I love it! And this particular audio is also terrific! Please give it a listen if you have XM Radio and let me know what you think!

Best wishes to all at Mindsight!

Regards, Marshall

PS - Sorry, gang, I was so excited I got the times a bit wrong. The program will be broadcast as stated Eastern Standard time, but the second set of figures are for Pacific Standard, not Central. Soldier of the Legion will be broadcast 8 to 8:30 AM and 4 to 4:30 PM Eastern time, and 5 to 5:30 AM and 1 to 1:30 PM Pacific time.

Regards to all, Marshall

Congratulations, Marshall! I don't get XM Radio, but I'm not sure I could have gotten up at 5 a.m. for you anyway. I'm not a morning person!

Hi Joyce & Laurel!

I'm not a morning person either. XM Radio is a satellite radio that you listen to by purchasing an XM receiver and clicking it into your home stereo system or your car radio. You subscribe with a small monthly fee. People do that because there are NO ADS on the music channels -- and around 200 channels! Their music is absolutely beautiful, crystal clear, but the no ads part is what attracted me. I love XM Radio. They also do news (regular CNN, Fox etc - those ones do have ads) and they broadcast audio plays or radio shows on Sonic Theater which is where Soldier of the Legion is broadcast.

Millions of people subscribe, so I'm hoping that means millions of people will buy copies of the Soldier of the Legion CD. Well, maybe three or four people anyway! We take what we can get!

Best wishes to all!

Regards, Marshall.

"XM Radio is a satellite radio that you listen to by purchasing an XM receiver and clicking it into your home stereo system or your car radio."

Or by activating it in your airplane's audio system...

That's interesting that they would split up the broadcast as they have...
although I do have to say, 9 hours in front of the radio may be a bit much in one sitting.
