Let's not forget our guys and gals in uniform. Unlike getting into college, you must be able to read to enlist in the armed forces. Our fighting folks consume a lot of books and each branch of the service (almost) has their own procurement procedure. Here they are:

I think I'd start with a query letter. Remember, the sole purpose of these people is to purchase books. The armed forces is a BIG group. |

Dennis - great idea, putting it down on my ever-expanding to-do list. Someone, who says their my friend, suggested the to-do list. Hmmm...I have real doubts about this thing. I mark one thing off, and add four more. And, sometimes the things that get marked off seem to procreate, spawning five or six more tasks for my list. Jeese-Louis, I'll probably be carrying it to the grave with me.

And let's not forget our captive audience - worth donating a book to your local incarceration joint. Don't know if mine would go down too well, because my heroines are just this side of the law, but some inspirational books might be welcomed. |

Sophie, that is a great idea. The local county jail is just down the road and they got women inmates there as well. Also, our church does the prision ministry visitation. So...I will contact the right parties right away.
