My copy of The Alley of Wishes came today! I just finished Gloria's Shades of Silence (loved it!) so I can start reading it tonight. Yippee!

Gosh how neat, Joyce. Alley has been out so long I forget that people might still read it. Hope you aren't disappointed. Even if you hate it, give me some feedback. :-)

Well, considering the Dedication almost made me cry and the Foreword succeeded, I'm pretty sure I won't hate it, Laurel! I've never fallen in love with a character before the book even started, but that Beck... sigh.

Alley of Wishes is one of my all-time favorites. I didn't want it to end.
I am positive you will love it.

The Alley of Wishes is the book of my heart. I've been encouraged to write a sequel but not sure I have the energy left to start it. I keep writing other books trying to ease my way back into it. Thanks for the kind words, all. Anyone who wants to know what kind of person I am at heart will know when they read Alley.

Be careful, Laurel...I've seen how vicious people can get when they want an author to write a sequel...

I was at the VA clinic today and saw a teenager (accompanied by his mother) who had prominently tatooed 10-05 on his neck with a ballpoint pen. If art is all about self-expression, this budding genius should be a candidate for the Pulitzer Prize for Literature. I only mention this to illustrate the stiff competition we older writers face from the younger generation.
