May today be filled with happiness and joy in the celebration of Jesus' Birth. And, may 2006 be one of the very best years of your life filled with joy, health and peace with God.

Merry Cristmas to you too Perry, and everybody else.

We start a bit earlyer than you, here it's 5 PM! So we will have a nice dinner in an hour or so...

and the merriest of Christmas to all of you, wherever you are and no matter what our differences might be, for we are all family, even though we squabble a bit. No matter how sometimes desolate you might feel on this special holiday of all holidays, remember there is always someone you can reach out and touch with a smile or a hug. We all seem to put so much into the gifting selections and not enough into the careful loving of this world and all of our friends, loves, pets, and lives with the simple pleasures of company, commitment, and the giving of hope and dreams so wonderful.

Take the time today or tomorrow, to make someone else smile and be happy, if even just for a few moments. That small gift alone will make you feel so much better. It is the gift that returns itself to you. Have a great Christmas everyone.

I am so very grateful to be out of the Veterans Administration nursing home and back home with family and friends for Christmas. It truly is a special day for all of us. Moreover, it is the only day of the year when die-hard golfers can play 18 holes on the municipal course for free.

Two years ago, I "adopted" a Marine in Iraq as a pen-pal.
He's back for his THIRD tour now.
I got a Christmas card with a wonderful note in it yesterday. Imagine what he faces every day and yet, finds the time and inclination to wish me a MERRY CHRISTMAS while some ACLU ass-hole is complaining about a tree in a courthouse somewhere.
Make no mistake, our guys are motivated and believe in what they are doing. They are literally changing the direction of world order and proud of it.
This is the best Christmas present I will get this year.

As Claudia pointed out, we squabble as all families do. That doesn't mean we don't love one another. Now, Uncle Bill and Uncle Harry, go have some eggnog with Uncle Frank!

People who don't care, don't squabble.

Happy recovery from Christmas!
