FROM THE NORTH CAROLINA BIBLICAL RECORDER
http://biblicalrecorder.org/
George Barna, who is well known for his research projects focusing on Christian issues, will head a new multi-media group focusing on what he calls "spiritainment."

"My research has shown that people - especially young people - absorb an amazing degree of their values, beliefs and lifestyle practices from the media content to which they are exposed," Barna said in a statement on his web site. "Most of that media is based on worldviews that do not honor God."

Barna's new multimedia venture, called Good News Holdings, hopes to counter that by developing media "to raise spiritual questions and draw people closer to God and His truths." The group will produce movies, television, Internet offerings, mobile phone content, books, magazines, digital worship clips and music. Among its plans is a series of "biblically based horror films."

Suddenly, my thought for science-fiction with God involved doesn't seem so strange...

I'm writing a book right now, Todd, that is a sci-fi with God in it. But in my version God is something different and he dies. Doing this unleashes Armageddon and mankind finds themselves, once again, in the middle of a war between Angels and Demons.

Gee, Kevin, your plot sounds sort of like an average day at my house.

In mine (which is only a series of short stories at this point), God interacts with an alien being much as He did with humans in Biblical times.

It is always a good Idea to write stories that include God, however, religion(I think I mispelled it) is always a touchie subject, so it's a good Idea to write about him without mentioning his name like I did in Ledgend's Prophecy, a fantasy that deals with magic and wizards. God is in most of our stories because he is in most of us, so it isn't hard for us to do that.
