Well, due to space limitations and the inability of the forum software to manage space better than it currently does, I have had to prune the forum messages in the larger of the topics. I have deleted all files over 100 days old. I backed up the entire forum prior to doing so, and thereby all of the old files are still available. I'm thinking of ways to make them available online, but for the moment we are talking about thousands of files, which will be fairly difficult to manage that way. My general idea is to have the old messages in plain text format, available for viewing. Once I figure out how to make that a reality, it will appear. For now, however, the backup lives on my computer. Hopefully this pruning operation will improve the performance of the board. I am also looking into upgrading the software to the latest version, in hopes that it will improve the problems I have been having with the board. CEW |

Bizarro... This thread was quite long yesterday... Hmmm. Just to repeat what I had posted yesterday... I restored all of the old archives to the forum, which you will find at the bottom of most topics (those that had archives) in an archive link which will take you to the old pages. Please note that these archives go back to 2001, and the board has changed much over the years. Some of the links will not work, and though there is an "add message" box at the bottom of the pages, it will not work if you try to post. Further, as another minor adjustment (minor meaning it only took 1/2 a day rather than a whole day to complete), I have added the "Start New Thread" link to the TOP of all subtopic lists so that now we don't have to scroll all the way down to start a new subtopic. For some reason, this thread now contains the post (from the thread of the same name?) from the old archive list...or so it seems to me... The 'forum adjustment' thread I remember had much more to it than a single post... CE, you evil man...how am I supposed to get any work done, if I'm spending more time rummaging through all those old posts? ;-P Mindsight Moderator Check out Who Needs a Hero?

Ah, but Todd... There are some REAL doozies in there. You may want to check those out in the "publishing" topic (if you were tempted to go in top to bottom order on the topics list)... CEW Mindsight Moderator |

Yes, I know :-) Why does the forum read this thread (and the Christian Novels one) as having 66 posts (each)? Mindsight Moderator Check out Who Needs a Hero?
