Let's see how many of you are sane. The director of an "institution" was asked about testing to see if one should be in the place. He takes a person into the bathroom and shows them a tub full of water. He hands them a spoon, a cup, and a bucket and asked what would be the best method to empty the tub. What would you do? Drink it, like I always do. If you are not allowed to pull the plug, you need the spoon and lots of time to empty it the best you can. The bucket is much faster, but leaves more water. Ideal would be the bucket first, then the cup, and then the spoon. But I'm with Claudia, the plug is best. |

A 50-lb sledge... Or tip it over, if it's not attached to the floor... (in my usage, best means fastest...) Mindsight Moderator Check out Who Needs a Hero?

50-lb sledge sounds like fun, I prefer that one, no matter how fast or how much water is left in. |

1) strip my 350lb self to bare-ass naked (think Peter Griffin on "Family Guy") 2) enter the tub with the above-mentioned self 3) splash and wriggle until all of the water is on the floor (Now just TRY and get THAT image out of your mind!!) (been gone awhile. I've been hospitalized and healing. I'm MUCH better now!) One super absorbent Tampax should make short work of that tubful of water. http://www.fdungan.com/vigilantes.htm |

I think if I were in the nut house and my release hinged on how I answered a question about draining a bathtub, I would definitly go for the cannonball tactic. I would also combine it with Olen's - I would strip naked prior to cannonballing into the tub. Nobody mentioned snorkling. I think I would try to snorkel a bit, as well! (at least until the nets came out...) |

Joyce, you're absolutely right! I retract that part of my previous post, as I don't want to attribute something to James that isn't his and that I got mixed up in my noggin. He seems to be having some good fortune. Although I only visit the absolutewrite board on infrequent occasion, I did notice recently that he has a book or two out and a contract for another. Good for him. He's a good debater and I suspect his stories have something to say. Spine The Buckseller |
