.
I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me and we could all use a little more calmness in our lives.

By following the simple advice I heard on the Dr. Phil show, I have finally found inner peace.

Dr. Phil proclaimed, "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started and never finished."

So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonney, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a bottle of Kahlua, a package of Romany Creams, Muscadel , the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, all of the Lays Cheese and Onion Crisps and a box of chocolates.

You have absolutely no idea how freaking good I feel right now!

Damn, that Dr. Phil is smart!

Along the same lines...I attended the annual convention of the Texas Association of Broadcasters in Austin last week. One of the sessions was on fighting fear with humor. I did not attend, but I thought about it a lot on the drive home...since fear is rampant these days.
Heard any good terrorist jokes lately....?
A hurricane and a tsunami got together in the Pacific....
This guy with AIDS walked into a bar...
Couldn't go anywhere with any of those. Our present-day fears aren't very funny. Makes you long for the days when agrophobia, claustrophobia, triskadekaphobia and the like were in vogue.
Of course, there's the one about Bin Laden and the genie, but that's pretty lame.
