At least that is what folks around Tampa called it so says my d-in-law. Well, if you ever want to see it rain, come on over to North Carolina. Reminds me of Hurricane Floyd. That was the 500 year flood. I'm hoping drunken Ernie moves on rather quickly to DC and baltimore.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought you were talking about some relative coming to town, Pac!

The television weather folk are so sad. They hate it when these things fizzle out and don't wreak massive destruction. We get the Jax news here and all day yesterday they still had the ominous music and dramatic vocabulary going as they continued to beat dead horse Ernesto.

They really get on my nerves.

sensational --- hey thats how to sale stuff -- even books
don't just write a novel - sensationalize it - have bombs blow up, women raped, bad guys winning, hero shot full of holes, guys raped -- do it all and you hold the NYT # 1 spot.

As they say in tv news - good news doesn't sale and I think that can be applied to books - people want dirt, guts, gore, cheating -- all the stuff they dream of doing

Ernesto -a lot of rain - very little pain

Oh, we had a guy struck by lightening yesterday going up the steps to his front door. He died.
See, that grabbed your interest. - what if the guy had just gotten away with robbing a bank of 10 million - a clean get away - perfect crime - an unreal ending to book????
