Watch your wallet! Scene #1 - You are in a restaurant or bar. You pay with your credit card. The card is usually taken to a place out of public view. Either the waiter or the bartender quickly takes a picture of both sides of your card with his/her cell phone camera, sends it to where ever. You never know until the huge bill shows up! Scene #2 - Same as above. They keep your card and give you someone else's which has expired. Most people never look. They just stuff the card back in the purse or wallet and go away. You don't discover it until several days later. If you leave the place of business, you're screwed. You can come back ten minutes later and there is no way in hell to prove what happened. If you look at your card when it is first returned, the waiter will appear to be shocked and run back to the station to correct the "mistake". "Sorry, sir/ma'am, we got yours mixed up with another. Here you go. Thank you." No one is hurt, but they'll nail the guy who doesn't look to see what he gets back. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you. |
