We accepted the office offer in Stockton so we will be moving this summer. We'll be kissing this moss infested state (Oregon) goodbye this summer. The kids are really looking forward to getting a pool of their own. I may get that Bike/car that I've wanted for a while since the weather is more permissive for that sort of thing.
So we have 26 day to get our house in sellable condition (shouldn't be hard, just some clean up and a fence or two to replace) and then we play the waiting game. We'll move even if the house doesn't sell and will stay in the rental until the house does sell.

I got family there so I'm hoping for a visa, then with luck, I will disappear into the ether of others like me. I know I can't be asked if I'm there legally or not because that would be profiling and that is illegal (thanks Libs).

My brother suggested I get some Raiders or 49er's garb to "blend in" but I just can't do it. With the Lions wardrobe on I know I will recieve nothing but sympathetic looks from the people down there. I will have to wean my kids of the Bakersfield Condors (minor league hockey) and gradually reintroduce them to the Stockton Thunder so they are not outcasts.
