I think I've pulled every muscle in my arms and back taking down a pair of stumps (about 24ft high stumps) with a chain saw that wouldn't stay going, hence the pulled muscles from yanking on the starter for two hours. Borrowed a neighbors after returning the rental reject and had the problems. So I ended up going two doors down where they cut a lot of fire wood for themselves every year and he came over and had it done in fifteen minutes. Shoulda gone to them first.

Then there was hauling the fencing material back to where I need to replace (next to the old stumps). So that was about 30 trips between the planks and 2x4s. Today it's sunny enough to actually work on the fence, darnit.

Sorry, had to dump, wife is in Chicago and calls to let me know she is on the 27th floor of a 28 floor high rise, over looking the whole city, eating Chicago style deepdish pizza and walking for hours exploring the city. Meanwhile I'm having dreams where my muscles hurt.

Anyway, if you don't hear from me in the next few days the fence fellon me and I couldn't push it up.

I've always apprciated that God has a sense of humor but I wish I wasn't the punchline for his jokes this week. It has been hailing and rain, so much so, I lost five pounds yesterday just taking my jeans off they were so wet. In fact the only time it has been sunny and nice out to work in has been when I have to stop working and take the kids to work. Then I get back and it starts to rain.

Is central close enough?

It's actually been sunny for two days now. Well, sunny and 40 degrees.

11 days 'til the house goes on the market.

WWell, the fence didn't win. It's all done and I even rebuilt a gate so we have easier access to the front of the house with lawnmower and such. Before there was only a narrow gate and if you were trying to move anything it would get caught on things in the pass through between the garage and house. 26 sections, 15 boards a section and countless nails (ok, you could count them but it would be sad).

Now I have a couple of siding panels that need replacement, some trim to replace and then I paint the end of this week and into the weekend. I do get a fance new paint machine though that I've wanted for a few years, actually I wanted the cheap, indoor version but this gives me the ability to have a better one. I think I'd rather pay someone else to do it but all the painters are already booked into June. Wife said she would let me get my big ol' flat screen tv if I painted the house instead and saved that bit of money. (Yes men, I said she would "let" me.) Last time I painted the house it took me about five days with a small sprayer, I'm hoping to cut that in half with the new toy.

Then we are done with the big outside projects, we may put in a 60ft long cement pathway around the side of the house so you don't have to walk in mud from back door to side, but that is a one day project. Everything else is basic cleaning before you sell things (after I paint two ceilings today.

What you don't see in the photo are the very invasive blackberries I had to beat back. Picture a long 4x4 and me bouncing on top of it to smashe the blackberries down and back.
