The Baptist Preacher was holding revival. In order to liven things up a bit he asked, “Everyone here who is a Baptist, and proud to be a Baptist, say,
‘Amen!’”
Folks Hollered out AMEN and some even stood and shouted a second time AMEN
Then the preacher asked, “Is there anyone here who isn’t a Baptist? Say, ‘Amen.’” A squeaky "amen" followed from the back of the church.
The preacher asked, "Well if you ain't a Baptist what are you.
The teenage boy not shaving age answered, "I'm a Methodist".
Pursuing the good time the preacher asked, “Why are you a Methodist?"
Barely audible the boy said, "Because my Momma is and my Daddy is."
The Preacher wanting to have some real fun asked,“If Mom and Dad were idiots what would that make you?
In a stronger voice and confident the boy answered,“A Baptist.”
