Traveled to Georgia this weekend to visit my son. Passed through Columbia, SC and missed the neo-nazi march. DARN would have been nice to see real live nazis but then I might have been the one arrested for throwing an egg! Went on through Beauford, SC and missed the crash of the Blue Angel jet. (Glad to miss that one.) The Yankeee Highway (I-95 from New England to Florida) was packed as usual- all those motor homes sure slow things down. At times I was down to 75 and thought I was walking. Normal speed on that road is 90) Missed hitting only two deer. All in all a boring trip except for the graveyard. St. Mary's Ga. is the second-oldest East coast town. The cemetery has markers for people dated to early 1600's. One old gal would be the subject for an interesting book. On her grave is her name and the name of her second husband. Below her is the name of her FIRST husband. Guess who is buried beside her? Yep, the first husband with the inscription at the bottom of his marker 'THE KISSING BANDIT'. No lie and ain't no joke. You can go see for yourself. http://www.perrycomer.com
