Chavez is visiting in Russia and this is a statement by a Russian leader (from AP)
Mr Chavez has been feted during his visit. The Russian MP, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, said: "He's the best president on the planet ... There's nothing wrong with Russia being friends with leaders who are anti-American because the whole world is anti-American."

I really don't like to talk politics here because of the folks who want to argue. But the statement above is something we citizens of the USA all need to read and think about, not talk about.

I think I'll email it to Rush Linbaugh

Since my forte is politics, I'm at a loss. Nevertheless, I respect CEW's need for discipline in the sandbox. But please keep in mind that our species would have disappeared long ago had we remained passive creatures. Conflict and struggle make the world go around. Isn't that what politics is all about?

I can't speak for CE, but I don't imagine it was the conflict and struggle itself that caused the need for additional oversight...as much as the general look-and-feel those types of discussions usually ended up in.
