Let me tell you, trying to sell a house in this market is FUN. You know the kind of fun I'm talking about; Derntist pulling teeth, Stepping in your dog's mess barefoot in the middle of the night, Discovering what you really got into when you signed with PA kind of fun. Wife and I just sent paperwork over to drop the price on our house again. We move into our new one in three weeks, four days and three hours (not that I'm counting down or anything ). The new house is more than twice the size of this tiny rental we are in now. We're going to be sitting about 12,000 under market value. Fortunately we have enough equity in the house to be able to do this. We never did any of those refinance to pay off your debt things soten years of payments all went to the house. Meanwhile, everyday I end up sitting about two blocks aways as they finish the construction on my house, watching the progress. My kid's school is right down the street, litterally. We look out our front porch, straight down a street with the school on the left. It will be a three minute walk from door to school. It's a good thing we are in wine country 'cause I'm going to need some. Kevin |

At least you're not in the middle of a divorce. I tried to do that five years ago when I was. Probably took about a $40,000 hit...but I guess I'll never know. Or care. Tom Elkins NORTH of TEXAS www.authorsden.com/tomelkins |
