I knew this would be the first time in a long time that the Detroit Lions (football here people) would actually do some good. I knew this because this is the first time in years that I DON'T have cable to watch the games. The only highlights I get are those of the ten seconds at half time for other games. Of course if this keeps up I may never get cable again.

I always said that my favorite teams are the Lions and whoever is beating the Bears so since the Lions beat the Bears this weekend, WOO-HOO.

After the way they treated Tom Landry -- not a chance.
I live 45 minutes from the Carolina Panthers stadium - never seen them play, never gonna
I'm done with football (college and pro) - and finished with pro basketball -- just ACC basketball my only "Masculine fix"
I was a Charlotte Hornets fan for years and went to at least half the games every year. George Shinn ruined that along with the "Thugs and Gangstas" called players.
Professional sports really are really sinking in terms of quality people.
Besides watching all that basketball, football and baseball leaves no time for writing

I was at a function last week where several of the Spurs were in attendance.
They were getting ready to start training camp.
Tony Parker is still nursing a sprained ankle (not too serious) from this summer and Robert Horry (starting his 16th season) isn't sure whether he will retire or not! He's like the pink bunny with the the drum...he just keeps going and going and going.
I think they truly have a shot at another title if they can avoid the injury bug this year.
I'm more than happy the season is about to kick off.
