This is nothing but a call to our trio of outspoken Texans for their view and input on the polygamy compound in their home state. First, there was Waco. Now, there's Eldorado. Is there something in the water down that way? Come in Bill, Stephen, and Tom.

Stephen might take offense at that, Frank.

Offense at what, Tom? I'm not following you. I'm just curious as to how it gets reported down your way... Oh, I just got it. Stephen lives in California. OK, two Texans and another feller who writes about the West.

We had a guy with five wives here in the Netherlands too Frank, so perhaps it's not restricted to Texas.

His name was Anton Heyboer. It was a... let's call it eccentric, artist who made fifty paintings a day.
The fifth wife is not always taken into account for some reason.

He also played guitar and sang, as you can see and hear here:

Quite an experience, isn't it? He is dead now, leaving his five widows.

His fifth wife Petra in her shop:

Concerning polygamy: if they all agree out of free will and they are all sane adults (in the case of Anton one might have some doubts about that perhaps) they can do whatever they like in my opinion. I do believe that most relationships with more than two persons will have a difficult time though. But Anton and his wives lived happily together for many years I believe.

He must have enchanted the girls with his singing...

no Harry,
I haven't been able to post since this last fiasco with Mik, the spammer. Something in the IP addy that I have and use that is similar to that of the spammers and CE and Todd were busily working to block them and during that work, blocked me also. Last nite was the first time I was able to get into the site to do anything more than read. Thus the "testing...." cause that was my standard place and word to see if I could sign in and post.

Don't worry Claudia. There is no shame in testing polygamy with Mik, Todd and CE. As long as everybody agrees voluntarily and their spouses don't mind.
