did any of you see the Preakness today? Big Brown is such a beautiful horse and he had the race by at least 5 lengths. He has a great jockey and trainer and lots of go inside of his heart. He is one truly magnificent bundle of muscle and heart. I hope he wins the Belmont..... boy wouldn't that be a pip. He just absolutely walked away from the crowd today. He sure has the stamina and moves. He has it all inside him. What a great horse!! I was crying when he started to go for it, and he just blew it away from there. I was standing and cheering and my dogs thought that I was crazy. What a great 2 minutes. I watched him in the K Derby and today, and can't wait to see him win it all. GO BIG BROWN!!!!! WIN IT ALL!!!! Claudia MINDSIGHT MODERATOR

All he needed was a hat that he could have tipped to the others just before he left the entire field in the dust. I had a thought that maybe Big Brown was winning this one for Eight Belles. 4-dollar gas? Stay home, kick back, and read a great book by F. E. Mazur. SPINE THE BUCKSELLER "A BIGGER CASE" |

Frank, ME TOO!!! Dennis, I truly do remember the races that Secretariat was in, have seen many clips and followed him and his career since his first race. Seattle Slough was also a great horse. I have followed horse racing since I was very young. Love the sport and love to see those horses running for the wind, like they are wont to do, whenever they can. I watch the wild Mustangs here and love them just as equally. We are a blessed state, Nevada, in that we have a few thousand wild Mustangs out in the mountains and valleys around here. They, along with many of the other wild animals located here, are the most beautiful things on earth. I cherish them all. Claudia MINDSIGHT MODERATOR

I first got interested in horse racing when Native Dancer was winning everything in sight. When I was 14 years old, I ran a riding stable (Rent a horse for $1.00 an hr.) for a couple of local farmers and we had 15 animals at any given time. I learned the horse business from the bottom up (In addition to being the "manager," I was also the stable boy.) Back in those days, I felt I could ride anything with four legs. My biggest thrill was winning the "Indian Trails Riding Club" saddle race at the county fair. I read somewhere that Secretariat had an unusual gait. He put his hoofs down in a different order than other horses. The only other horse in which that gait was documented was Sea Biscuit. Frank... 30mph winds this morning. The lake is angry.
