Just for fun, I started this short story, but instead of finishing it, I thought it would be fun to collaborate and see where it will go. Add whatever you'd like, keep it flowing, and let's see where this will end. It's a mystery, with humor. Have fun with it. No rules! Thirteen-year-old Roger kicked a pair of dirty jeans out of the way when he walked into his bedroom with his younger brother Troy. Troy stood there, stunned; his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. “What’s mom gonna say when she sees that?” “Maybe she won’t notice.” “You can’t keep mom from noticin’ a real live skeleton in your room!” “Hey, she don’t come in here much. Says the rooms too messy. She’ll never find it. Chill.” “How you gonna sleep with that lookin’ at you? It’s creepy.” “No eyes, ya dork. He’s dead.” “How’d you find that thing?” “The river. Under the old bridge by Westward Street.” “Aren’t ya supposed to call 911 or something?” “Naw. It’s kinda too late, don’t ya think?” “I dunno. You can’t leave it here.” “Sure I can. I’ll dress it up or something so it don’t look so weird.” “Hey, don’t you think you should find out where it came from?” “No. Who’d be lookin’ for it?” “Well, I don’t think anyone lost it, stupid! How’d you get it to sit up at the desk?” “Velcro.”
