My first book,Hiding Places}}, came out in 2001. It is now listed as "Book of the Month" at PA. Go figger! What's that all about?

Maybe they're trying to 'win you back', so to speak?
Who knows?

Congrats on the selection, whatever the reason...

Paula,
I can almost guarantee you that it wasn't because of selling the most.
My other book, Den of Deception, was BOM when it first came out in 2003 so
I don't know how they choose them. I got an e-mail from PA stating they were
"re-honoring" the book. ??????

Bill. That's great. Congratulations. You said your other book was also book of the month in 2003. Does it help sales to be so honored?

Mary,
Not that I could determine.
Yesterday, on the PA board, Lynn Barry made mention of the book being
BOM and some kind remarks about me personally.
It got pulled!

Wow, I guess your name is mudd, even though they made your book BOM. Maybe it was a mistake about BOM.... by someone who wasn't in the "loop"......

Sorry Bill, I can well understand how you feel. My book was never even mentioned ever, as being even released. But then maybe it was because the New Release Page was not really actively up when my book came out, but when it did get active and everything, I figured that somewhere along the line, someone in the company would mention it, no one ever did. Oh well..... I just reread my post and have to clarify, my book was never mentioned on the PA BOM page and was given a pic and profile on the new releease page but only for a short time there. It was however, picked as BOM here on Mindsight a few months after that program was started here. I cannot tell CE how grateful for that I was at the time and am still, forevermore.

I'm not surprised at all.
To be kicked off is being an undesirable; to resign is being a traitor!
Me and Aaron Burr...
I agree that posting the book as BOM was probably some sort of procedural foul-up.

Bill,

PA's Lynn wrote a thread titled Bill Nelson My HERO congratulating you...and asking you to come back to the boards. I replied and told her where you were and it was erased by PA within hours!!! Her post is still there if you want to look in the LOUNGE though...

Now you see it. Now you don't. I just had a look and Lynn's thread has been pulled from the lounge. Maybe you made BOM because they didn't know that Richard Nelson was you, since you go by Bill. I didn't realize it was your book when I saw it on the PA home page.

Oops, I guess we should have warned Paula about all the nuances of posting messages here...

Wasn't there a thread somewhere around about that?

Considering that I had posts removed (and an entire 60+ post thread in addition) from the PA board because I posted a link to my links page (and didn't put two and two together for the fact I had a link to Mindsight there, despite their insistence that I was doing it on purpose, for deep, dark reasons), I believe it would be very safe to say that any post with any possible mention of this site would be slated for instant removal from the PA board (I'm pretty sure the AST keeps that in big bold letters at the top of their training manuals)...

And the fact the lounge post was removed should be clue one to the second warning...someone is always watching...

"Hello, Dave..."

CE,
We know you are a nice guy, that's why we are here instead of there.......

at least many of us. Some of those new to here just don't know what bad people we who frequent this site are though, in the eyes of those whom shall be simply referred to as "over there". And they seem to get things mixed up "over there" !!!

heh heh heh.

CEW is our glorious leader for a good reason. He is not a fake. He is a lot of fun at a gathering. And he mixes a mean drinkie poo too. Plus he is one swell fella.

Todd too, except for the part about mixing drinkie poos.

Todd and CEW are the only two Mindsight menfolk I've met so far, but I imagine they are all good guys.

Don't worry Todd. This year we'll get rid of those pesky kidneys for you!

As you know, it will be non-invasive... we'll just force them out of you with laughter! I'm not exactly sure why you... but what the heck! Why not?

Perhaps this year we'll have margaritas... hmmm... Made some pretty good strawberry ones lately.

That reminds me... do y'all have 'sin taxes' in Brownsburg?

Kidneys, spleen.....who needs them...We picked Todd because he was the virgin...and you always have to sacrifice the virgin (drink wise ;0D).

Hey! Whatever happen to invite thy neighbor over for Strawberry Margs.....NOW that is a sin.

Because anyone who knows me knows that I desperately need to get rid of a kidney, CE...it would definitely cut back on the stones (at least that's the running theory)...and that in itself will put me in good graces with our company's insurance...but at least if it's not successful, I've met my deductible for the year, and can still get another lithrotripsy in before Jan 1.

;-P

I was going to say, Tulla...I'm pretty sure that title (used on me) was null and void quite a long time back, then I read the rest of the statement...hee hee...(although technically, that became null and void a long time back as well, and here you were probably wondering why the sacrifice didn't work the way it was supposed to... :-P )

Oh, goodness. Todd, don't know if I can take another night like the one when you lost your spleen.

My mistake was in not going home when I had the chance!!!

I expect Vickie to protect me this year. (G)

Protection is for the weak, Nance. And you are not weak.

Besides, I've missed the past gatherings and am seriously looking forward to good, old-fashioned revelry. :-) (G) (That doesn't involve me having to flash my wedding ring in someone's facee 20 times for them to let me just have fun.)

I can be a VERY bad influence, ya know. LOL

Hee hee. I missed out on Todd losing his spleen last time. I had about half of one of CEW's drinkie poos and had staggered back to my room. I'm not sure but I might have conked out face first onto the bed.

If I get to go this time, I anticipate having lots of fun. The last one was a hoot AND we learned a lot. Unless strangers some how infiltrate the group, I doubt anyone will have to flash their wedding rings for protection. The menfolk in this bunch are fun loving guys, but nice ones too.

LA-I believe you are a positive influence. I will pass on a few words for you to say during the event....'Drink more and smoke more?' Cigerettes that is....

Yeah Ms Laurel found a spot and stayed in it while consuming the drink of the night. While Todd and CE informed the forum of the happenings.

LA, Laurel is correct the men were pure gentlemen at the gathering. Just like having your brother tagg along....
