Being a fan of Ludlum, I've read all the books. Now we have the movies. I hated the first one with Matt. Now the second, a great story and with plot. Not like the book but I wasn't expecting to be so lucky. But, the movie was great.

On another thread is a discussion of chapter length. Writers imitaing movie style seems to be a new wrinkle. that's ok.

What ticked me off about the latest Bourne movie was the filming, I have a problem with vertigo. Motion sickness is an everyday pain in the butt. That movie was not filmed with steady-cam. I got sea-sick!!

I read one Ludlum book way back and did not like it, so have never read another.

Haven't seen the Bourne movies either and won't until they come to TV. I lead a very sheltered life.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, although I thought the second movie was weak on plot. I loved the action though.
And I agree with you Perry... the filming got to me too. There were a few times I had to shut my eyes for a few seconds to stabilize myself. Of course (wink) coulda just been Matt Damon too!

I am a huge Ludlum fan. Saw the first movie, and wasn't thrilled. Glad to hear the second one is better.

By the way, did you know that the Bourne Identity was a made-for-TV movie back in the 70-80's. Somewhere back when. That's what got me hooked on his books. I saw the made-for-TV movie and had to read the book.

Yep, I remember the movie but had read the book before I saw it so when they annoced they were doing a re-make of the movie I thought, "Ok now get it right." They didn't.

It will be interesting to see how well the guy who is taking over writing BOURNE will do.

Just talking about this on another board.. and we're all guessing that they will make the final installment of the trilogy into a movie as well. Although they will have to do some tap dancing because they won't be able to stick to the original plot. Then again, they apparently didn't in Supremacy either!

Still a good action movie!
