The staff at the Sturgis Journal (Sturgis, Michigan) has joined the Adopt-A-Family program for the holidays. The family they have adopted is a single mother attempting to get her high school diploma, work, and raise a now 16-month-old daughter.
Both the mother and daughter love books, and I am donating many from my private collection as well as sending new books as well. Gloria, yours will be wrapped pretty for the mom already. If any of you are interested in contributing your book out of the goodness of your heart, please feel free to do so. (You can always send to your own local agencies and such, too.)
