laurelj | Tuesday, March 26, 2002 - 04:32 am For those of you familiar with Amazing Authors Showcase, I got an email notification that Pepper Raines suffered a massive stroke and did not survive. It's the kind of news I have trouble wrapping my mind around. They will be shutting down AAS because no one remaining can devote the time and energy Pepper did to keeping things going. LaurelJ |
    C. E. Winterland | Tuesday, March 26, 2002 - 06:41 am That is awful. I'm sad to hear it. |
Nancy Marie | Tuesday, March 26, 2002 - 07:00 am That is so sad, I am so sorry. She was a nice person. Will keep her family in prayer. blessings, Kitty |
Shirley Priscilla | Tuesday, March 26, 2002 - 03:10 pm Thank you Ms. Toe for putting this here. My heart is broken over the news. She was becoming an important person in my life and I feel the loss already. It is truly a sad day for those of us who knew her. I too am praying for her family. She will be greatly missed. We never know how many seconds we have to tell those we love how much they mean to us, this has been a wake up call to me. Shirley P |
laurelj | Tuesday, March 26, 2002 - 03:11 pm Yes Pepper was very nice and also a good source of sensible, practical, helpful information in the same way many others have been for me. Since AAS is closing down, I will be looking for another place to do reviews. Pepper told me I was a "born reviewer". Normally I would put hahahaha behind such a statement made by anyone, but today I don't feel much like laughing. I imagine she told all her reviewers that though, since she always tried to be kind and encouraging. sigh. laurelj |
