Behler's wonderful crew has come up with book signings for me (and others).
Border's in Amarillo, Texas, Austin, Texas, San Antonio, Texas and, drum-roll here, New Orleans (with Cora Morace).
I don't know the other author's schedules, but Pete Chamlis is doing a great job where Diana left off.

Bill, congratulations! What? You mean you didn't have to purchase your own books? LOL. In all seriousness, I'm sure it's a great feeling to know what a real traditional does for its authors. Good luck and I hope your book reaches the top in sales.

The process was quite complicated.
Pete did all the work, I sat on my butt.
He e-mailed me to see if dates were conflicted.
I said they weren't.
He scheduled them.
I'm worn out!
In honesty, I have laid off trying to schedule any "biggies", letting Pete work his magic.
For local Indies, my success has been poor (what's wrong with those people?)
The difference----Night and day. The good, the bad and the ugly. A conventional publisher and a vanity publisher (you guess which is which). A feeling of worth as opposed to feeling lower than whale feces (as one of seven or eight thousand chumps).

I've had several signings and have a little "routine" down. However, there is some really good stuff on that site. Thank you.
I'm going to take an extra day in Nooaulins and bum around some. I want to go back to the Garden District and look at the homes (maybe find the Mayfair witches), eat some ben-yeas and shoot some pictures in the quarter.

good luck on the signings Bill. I envy you all the help and consideration you have gotten from Behler, as opposed to the non-existant anything from PA.
I certainly do wish you all the great things that will come your way.
I would also guess that Dennis will have some signings and appearances coming up soon. Sure do wish I could et there, or to one of yours.

I'm sure Dennis will (if not already) have some scheduled.
They (Behler's guys) have worked hard to get acceptance with the book sellers. Next, we need to sell some books. BUT, as everyone knows, it's all about exposure.
The more exposure, the more sales, the more sales, the more exposure...
My advice to everyone is to put PA (and, yes, maybe your book) in the rear-view mirror and get on down the road. Write more, have another couple of books to shop, find an agent/publisher and enjoy. LIfe is good.

Bill, dancing on the signing table in your BVD's while singing "I'm An Oscar Meyer Wiener" does not consitute a routine. To my knowledge we're still banned in that city. |
