Other Information necessary to post the review: None
Age Group (Adult-/Young Adult; Teen; Child (reading Level age): Older Teen, Adult. Most age groups can read, this book is a subtle reminder to look closely at all individuals in a person's life and seek out motives, no matter how obscure.

The best I can say is WOW!!! I have known Ms. Marlow through several places for the past few years and have found this read extremely over and above what I though was possible. She has a definite gift for storytelling and uses her words masterfully and very carefully to weave just the story that will leave a person breathless. It is a very tightly written murder mystery that will have you glued to your seat trying to outsmart the killer and want to save the victims of this plot. And it will leave you almost clueless as to the identity of the real killer until almost the very end of the book. It certainly wasn't the person that I figured it would be, and I have been reading mysteries for most of my adult life. Very well done, Gloria. I am so proud to know you, and I really didn't know you had it in you, my friend. Your future will be shining brightly soon. Ms. Marlow has written two other books titled The Butterfly Game and Shades Of Silence, both of which I can't wait to read now. Flowers for Megan was her first attempt at writing for public consumption and since I know that, I will rightly assume that her two following books will be even that much better. She set the bar very high for a first attempt, and more will surely follow with equally high ability and standards.

Megan comes home from an end of school - late summer swimming party to find blood, and the bodies of her older sister, niece and nephew staring at her in the bedroom with sightless eyes. She goes deep into a breakdown and a very deep shell and hides her true emotions even from herself for many years, until her one true love comes back to the same town and finds her and himself both involved in mayhem. This story takes you on a breathless fast paced run to find out who is doing this to Megan's life and why. You want to know the answers quickly to prevent any more murders. You have to know the answers so that Megan can live her life. And the person that is doing this to Megan is one that she knows and trusts with her life and that makes it all the more important to find out why it is happening. A very beautifully put together and well-written book. It is a book that will stay in your mind and heart long after you have finished it.
