Recently, I returned to Southern California's El Monte Norwood Library where I presented them with copy of my first published book; Keeper of the Arts (K.O.T.A.).
I did that because it took me two years to research and write K.O.T.A. and I did most of the research at the El Monte Library. Ms. Garcia is the director of the children's section and asked me to be a guest speaker for her group during TEEN READ WEEK.
I quickly accepted as my first payoff from the book. My second was when they decided to evaluate my presentation so they could add me as a 2007 PERFORMER. In doing this, they will pay me a pre-set fee for each performance within their 80 library system.
I thought that was fantastic and I just wanted to share that news with my friends here at Midnight Forum.

That is absolutely fantastic, Jackie. I hope that there will be large turnouts wherever you speak and that your being in those libraries generates a lot of interest in reading, as it is one of the sore spots in todays world, especially teens, with all the video games out there that they can much easier get hold of and play all the time.
