If you haven't read Nick Sparks TRUE BELIEVER you have missed his take on journalists and journalism. He writes that journalists seldom if ever do much research beyond what other journalists write. Most of what we read in "news" is re-statement and checking the facts behind stories seldom happens.

His character writes an investigative article on journalism that no one editor dares publish.

That's from PW's review and after reading it entirely and many of the customer reviews on Amazon, I suspect you're imparting more to this fictional work than is deserving.
