I can't decide if that goes way against or hand in hand with what we were told last year by our children's schools: Children don't need to know the alphabet to read, they just need to memorize words. Really... Can you imagine even attempting to read parts of the Bible without being able to sound the words? I learned words by reading them, that's what builds vocabulary. Sheesh.... Gloria |
