I got a surprise gift this Christmas! Catherine Byers at Worldtainment's studio in New York City transformed The Gospel According to Condo Don into a MP3 audio book just in time for the holidays. It's in the Classic Literature subsection of their catalog along with the likes of Herman Melville and Nathaniel Hawthorne. Needless to say, I am most deeply honored. Thanks. I wrote The Gospel According to Condo Don in response to someone having said that it would take a miracle to save the Salton Sea. It does seem like the Salton Sea is a goner. I spent one of the best days of my life there with my parents in 1960 when the sea was a recreational paradise. Now, the sea is in the last stage of an environmental meltdown that is affecting humans as well as wildlife. I only wish that there was something more that I could do to publicize the scope of the disaster.
