It's been a long time, but I sent out my first queries today. 4 e-queries to lit agents for my new novel. Man...I feel alive again!

Just HAD to share with people who would understand.

:-) :-) :-)

starting the new year off right Mary.

I think we writers either do one of two things at New Year's -- either quit or re-double our efforts with more commitment.

Thanks. On New Year's Eve I was determined to finish the book (meaning: get it ready for submissions). Then I got a Writer's Market, along with the website subscription, & started doing my research. I decided that this year, I was going to make goals AND meet them. I have a co-author who travels a lot doing educational improv shows, so if anything was going to get done, it would be my job to do it.

It's always scary to take that first step. Heck, it's scary to take every step. But I'm loving this.

Okay, back to that darn synopsis...oh yeah, & the outline (I say with a shudder).

Congrats on taking another step in that forward direction Mary! Perry's right, I think we all re-evaluate our goals and ideals at the beginning of the year and either stick with it, or hang it up. Glad to see you're sticking with it.

Jenn
