Yeah, this is probably not the correct forum to post this in, but it's the one where I know the most posters. I just discovered that my first novel, Moonsword (a faerie-tale thirller about a prince who is transformed into a woman), has somehow become nominated for a 2004 Spectrum Award (there are only ten nominees). Wish me luck!

I'm also proud to announce the creation of www.dianahignutt.com . I've got some other terrific news, but I want to wait a little while before I let this cat out of the bag. This week seems to be going better than last week.

Diana!! That's simply the coolest thing I've heard all day! Big time congrats to you. I'm keeping every digit crossed for you that you kick boot-ay.

Heh, heh, Kevin. Oh yes, I'm certain rm.231 will never be the same. The great vibes we left in that room just can't be erased.

Diana you have a typo on your "services" page. One of the headlines says,
"DTH Literary Marking Consulting Services" -- I assume you meant "Marketing"
I had a typo like that on my site for the longest time before someone pointed it out -- I just kept reading it as saying what I meant it to say.

It's an attractive site, by the way, and good luck on the award -- it's great that you're in the running.

Congrats Diana. I can't wait to read the next one when it comes out.

I am always glad to hear new news, not the same old hat dance.

Oh yeah, I wish I knew how to build a web page. Woah is me! I say, woah is me.

Diana, Congratulations and good luck!!!

Also, we just say what we need to say where we need to say it, so don't worry about whether it's the correct forum.

I am humbled by the enthusiastic response to my little announcement! Thanks everyone so much.

Sorry about the typo that's my fault no Paul's. Thanks for pointing it out. Yes, I am an idiot when it comes to this infernal contraptions (computers), so there is no way in the world I could ever build a website, aside from the authorsden kind (I have one of those too). Paul is a super computer genius, and I am in his debt forever.

I'll keep you all posted on the Spectrum Award!

More thanks.

In unrelated news, I just got a call to do a nationwide Canadian radio interview on Mojo Radio's morning show. If everything works out (phone tag) I'll be on Toronto's Mojo Radio Network (which I'm told goes across the country) this morning starting at 9:00am. I ask again for your good wishes!

More thanks!

How did the interview go? Pretty well, one of the callers (yeah, we took phone calls) told me I had a really sexy voice, which was nice. The host (John Oakley) and callers concentrated on the whole transsexual thing, but I got to plug Moonsword, and it's soon to be released sequel, Empress of Clouds, as well as my new publisher, Behler Publications. The whole thing lasted about 25 minutes, standard questions mostly about Liz's and my relationship. OH yeah, Mark (the caller who said I had a sexy voice) said he would "do me" even though I used to be a guy (LOL-how sweet!). Still it was much better than the last time I was on that station, in May (different show) when one caller asked me if my mom dropped me on my "f-ing head" when I was young. Such is life.
