This paranormal time travel romance is Jennifer Lynn's third published novel. Each book she writes is uniquely different and every one is a delight to read. Engaging plots and well-developed characters are this writer's trademark.

Amanda Bradshaw is a librarian living and working in contemporary New York City. Love and romance have passed her by, and yet she considers her life to be rich and full. She frequents museums, enjoys the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple, and thinks the Dewey Decimal System is an art form. Amanda prefers curling up with a good book to any other activity. And then a roguishly handsome police officer, an eccentric museum curator, and an old leather bound journal precipitate an adventure that will change her life forever.

Amanda is transported from modern day New York to a small 1880s era western town named Calico. Without warning, she becomes the new schoolmarm in Calico instead of a librarian. Bewildered by this sudden change in scene, she is befriended by the sheriff, Austen Riley, and a sympathetic saloon owner named Lil. Riley is a man with dark secrets and an axe to grind with rancher Matt Mallory. Lil turns out to be a kindred spirit in surprising ways. But it's Matt Mallory who turns Amanda's life inside out. Matt is handsome, determined to win her as his wife, but his shady reputation leaves a lot to be desired. Still, Amanda is attracted to him as they flirt and tease, argue and banter their way towards love.

Life in Calico is different but Amanda soon adjusts. The old west is a dangerous place and she quickly learns that everyone is not what they seem on the surface.

Jennifer Lynn excels at putting lovers through their paces as they play seductive cat and mouse games. The end is always worth the wait, but this time she throws in a few sly twists and turns to up the ante for her readers. New Prints in Old Calico is an entertaining read.

Laurel Johnson, Midwest Book Review

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When time-traveling rancher, Matt Mallory, sees his dream girl, Amanda Bradshaw, on the streets of modern day New York, he sends her back in time to the Old West, intending to court her and eventually make her his wife.

Arriving in Calico via a time vortex/stagecoach, Amanda--now Amy attired in museum-authentic nineteenth century clothing--slips with ease into the role of the town schoolteacher. She soon finds herself falling in love with Matt in spite of her misgivings, for Matt's reputation is less than stellar. In fact, according to an account in an old history book, Matt was hanged for his crimes.

As Matt, Amy, and Matt's young daughter, Molly, struggle to become a family, the villainous Marshall Riley, a truly frightening adversary, plans to destroy Matt and claim Amy for his own.

From Amy's first days as the new schoolteacher to the exciting showdown at the Mallory ranch, NEW PRINTS IN OLD CALICO has the ring of authenticity. Miss Lynn has made her western town come alive, and people who live there are as real as anyone's neighbors. The plot moves along with never a lull because something is always happening in Calico, and at times a happy future for Matt and Amy seems impossible. The dialogue is credible and colorful, at times laced with humor, and the romance between this unlikely pair is warm and realistically depicted.

Fans of time-travel novels, westerns, and romances will enjoy this book that cleverly combines all three genres in one exciting and heartwarming read.

New Prints in Old Calico a paranormal time travel romance is a delightful montage of characters who pull you into Lynn’s story and old you captive throughout the book.

Amanda, the librarian, becomes Amy the school teacher as she’s transported from her contemporary world back in time to the Old West. Among other interesting little quirks she has a habit of running into horses while her attention is diverted elsewhere. The reader becomes aware of the significance of those encounters and realizes that Max Mallory has been stalking Amanda/Amy for some time in both worlds. The reason is heart warming, but their pathway is never certain and far from easy as they travel the terrain of Calico and invite us with them through the pages of the book.

You will thrill to the many twists and turns Lynn supplies throughout. But you will remember her characters long after you close the book. You’ll be torn between hurrying along through the book to see what happens next or slowing down to savor every moment of the story.

A delightful, highly recommended read, by a very talented writer.

Do you remember the really annoying noise you use to make with your friends when you were a teenager and y'all were excited about something? Or am I the only one who used to do that? I think we used to like jump up and down or something, too, I don't remember. But sometimes, lately, when I read everyone's reviews/news on here, I want to do that same noise.....

Excitement and goodness is definitely in the air.

Great reviews, Jenny. I hope you sell a million copies.

My next mystery/suspense with a touch of romance is due out with Wings in May of this year. It's an honor to be a fellow published author with the same publisher.

Loves Romances loves New Prints in Old Calico! Or at the very least, they like it a whole big bunch!!

I woke up to Four Hearts, with this being part of the review.

Jennifer Lynn has woven a delightful time travel tale of a woman whose dream of seeing the old west is answered in most unforeseen circumstances. And Ms. Lynn has captured wonderful details of the old west, in this page-turner. New Prints in Old Calico does not base its plot around time travel, therefore it is a back burner thread through this story. This reviewer, who hasn't been a big fan of time travel, found this book a pleasure to read. The characters are believable. You just can't help but feel for Matt as the whole town has turned against him through no fault of his own. He is a dashing hero that stirs the imagination of the female reader. Amy is the damsel in distress and captures the reader's interest in her plight when she discovers herself in a different time. Unsure of how to teach school in the old west is only the first plight that plagues her. But you will have to buy the book to find out what other concerns Amy runs into in her adventure in Calico. These two characters just ooze passion that fairly sizzles the pages. However, this story is not of the erotic genre, but a sweet romance of what dreams are made of.

Thought I'd share.
