Now I know how Jenny feels to receive a wonder review of her work. I have posted below my very first review, and I must say, I am on cloud nine, no make that cloud ten. Here it is: Violet Towe, has certainly announced her arrival in the fast paced, suspenseful world inhabited by some of the best mystery authors. “Betrayed” has all the ingredients of a good “who dunnit” with characters that leap off the pages and come alive for you. Chief Boswell was one of my favorites. Violet’s portrayal of life in a small town police department was rife with color and richness. Bruce Digman is refreshing change to the usual jaded officers’ one associates with in most murder mysteries. Here is a man – a law enforcement officer who is at once hardnosed, sensitive to death and chivalrous to the core. His occasional show of vulnerability endears him to the reader. Bruce is the type of hero I would root for any day. Kate O’Connor’s conflicts add more depth to the entire story and the romance is skillfully woven through the mounting tension of the murder mystery. It doesn’t over power the story and thus adds to the original storyline of “who dunnit” rather than distracts from it. The twists and turns kept my eyes glued to the pages and the surprise at the end capped a truly remarkable story. Violet, deftly weaves the colorful strings of the mystery with finesse and ease giving us a rich tapestry to marvel at in the end. Taut, thrilling, suspenseful, “Betrayed” was a most enjoyable read and I definitely recommend it to anyone with an appetite for thrilling mysteries. Reviewer Cheryl Pereira

Thanks Claudia, I sure hope you're right. You know when a person receives bad news it means so much more when we reveive good news usch as the review I posted above. However, this is my 2nd review of Betrayed. The bad news I was talking about was from my daughter regarding my granddaughter, Susan. Susan is 17 years old and is a junior in high school, and is on the Govornors Honors. She is a member of the BETA Club, taking college advance courses in high school and has been accepted into the Honors Society for Honor Students. She is so bright and will be attending 1/2 day of college her Senior year, and has a grade point average of 3.95 Susan has suffered all her life with irratible bowel syndrome and has developed algeric reaction to any glouten products so bad that she almost died from a severe reaction. The doctor thought she might have a rare type of cancer in her stomach and small intestine, so in order to prove or disprove this, Susan had to collect her urine for 24 hours for testing. That test came back positive that she indeed does have this very rare cancer. The doctors has said this cancer is cureable through surgery and will most likely be done in the next few weeks. Susan is a wonderful, tender hearted young lady and has the most positive attitude about this. I ask for your prayers for Susan as she starts her journey through these next weeks or months that she will pull through and recover 100%, as the doctors has predicted she will. This cancer is very rare but thank God, cureable.

Violet, You and Susan have every good thought that I can muster up for her surgical success. I would not wish anything like that on any person, let alone one so young and doing everything else in her life right. She sounds like a wonderful granddaughter. Do eveything in your power to keep he held tightly in your heart, as I am sure you are all doing. It works wonders. Claudia |
