Publish America still sucks. But it looks like Amazon put them out of their misery. Meiners told Christine not to make the corrections to the Bushwhacked galleys as specified in the contract. Thus, the paperback wasn't a quality job and many parts were left out. PA still has the corrections in my file, but won't make them. The paperback didn't sell diddly squat, but the corrected version, which appears online at http://www.fdungan.com/bushwhacked.htm has been read by more than 45,000 people (html edition only, does not include those who have read the pdf online at http://www.fdungan.com/bushwhacked.pdf. PA can't tell a good book from a bad book, as was proved by the publication of Atlanta Nights. The sooner they go under, the better. http://www.fdungan.com/bushwhacked.htm |

Ok, fellow losers. Now is the time to start posting again. Same old song Fred is blasting away at PA for some shyt that happened Buck Rogers years ago. But, it gives you pathetic losers new life to spill your guts about how PA f--ked up your "writing" careers. One by one I want you misguided souls to reiterate your PA woes. Tell us how if it wasn't for PA all of you would be making a living from writing and would each be on your fifth best seller. Tell us again how PA had the audacity to put your book on the market at no cost to any of you. And had the double audacity to offer a way to buy your own book (at a discount) so you, heaven forbid, could promote yourself. Come on, I'm waiting... |

Certainly, I'll be glad to clue you in. I signed a contract with Superior Books in early 2001. Following 9/11 anything political that came off the press in New York was examined closely. Bushwhacked (then titled Disaffected), Stupid White Men, and a number of similar works that poked fun at government policy were warehoused so as to avoid confrontation. In other words the industry had concluded that the atmosphere towards books that criticized the actions of public officials had changed. The publisher backed out of the agreement and the same thing happened to Michael Moore and other authors who were not in lockstep with the Bush Administration. I came across Publish America on the rebound and was not aware of how pervasive fraud was in the unregulated publishing industry. PA took a book with a proven track record and trashed it. They owe me and I intend to collect. You have a problem with that? And just what is your interest in the matter? Why the air of mystery? Obviously the rules have been relaxed for you to permit anonymous posting which I had been told was prohibited following a spate of robot spamming incidents. http://www.fdungan.com/bushwhacked.htm} |

There is no mystery, Fred. Anonymous posters are in no danger of having to list their accomplishments in life. Laurel Johnson http://laureljohnsonblogs.blogspot.com

Accomplishments! He's probably sitting there satisfying himself sexually as he writes. He's the type, impotent in every area of his life, getting his only satisfaction hiding behind a silly number. What a sad bozo. Maybe someone will find him and get him the help he needs. He's truly disturbed.
