This is the first novel in The Land That Time Forgot series. It is notable in that the dinosaurs are not of the usual variety and that the high seas adventure takes place on a captured World War I U-boat. If you haven't read it, by all means go to http://www.fdungan.com/land.htm and do so. This is Edgar Rice Burroughs at his best.

The other 2 novels in the Caspak series, The People That Time Forgot and Out of Time's Abyss have been uploaded to the Dungan Books website, http://www.fdungan.com/land.htm. They are bundled together in one volume in the manner of the second (1924) edition. I managed to rescue some of the original artwork from a Japanese language edition since the illustrations I came across in the original (1918) English language editions at public libraries were dogeared, smudged, creased and/or faded from prolonged use. Obviously they are almost as popular today as they were when they were written. Considering the success of Jurassic Park, I'm amazed that Hollywood failed to follow up with updated versions of the books of Verne, Doyle, and Burroughs, all of whom delved into imaginary lost lands where cavemen and dinosaurs are very much alive.
